The application is simple: Wrap the fiber mat around the component, such as the downpipe, place the thermal insulation heat shield around the pipe, and then weld it together.

Compared to many conventional fiber mats from other manufacturers, the BOOST Products fiber mat remains permanently temperature-stable even at extreme temperatures exceeding 1200 °C. Even under this intense thermal stress, the material does not begin to crystallize or become brittle. The mat can still be safely handled and processed after extreme heat exposure - without the unpleasant fiberglass particles commonly associated with traditional fiberglass mats. The material does not penetrate the skin or cause irritation during handling or processing.
In our practical tests, the fiber mat was directly exposed to temperatures of over
1200 °C for several minutes at a distance of only a few millimeters. Even under these extreme conditions, the mat showed absolutely no visible changes. There was no discoloration, no brown marks, and no other signs of thermal damage. Afterwards, the mat could be handled directly by hand, bent, moved, and further processed without any fibers coming loose or the material becoming damaged. This demonstrates the exceptional thermal stability and material quality of the BOOST Products fiber mat.
